Posts in this category of my blog will be about how we can make this world a better place. It does not matter if you are rich or poor, young or old, busy or with plenty of free time, it doesn’t even matter if you are handicapped or blind. In this space you will find ways to help the world in your own little ways like giving away food that you don’t eat instead of throwing in the garbage. All it takes is a little time. We are just too lazy to go downstairs and find some poor person to give our food. Hey, we all need a walk after dinner don’t we? Take your husband/wife/bf/gf together with you for an after-dinner walk. You will do a good deed by feeding someone and walking together will strengthen your relationship. hehe. You could also give away your old clothes. When you find some poor person on the street, instead of giving them money, buy some corn, smelly doufu, or whatever food the street vendors are selling and give it to the poor derelict. This way you spend the same money but help two poor people. The poor derelict you were originally helping and the street vendor who is trying to make an honest living instead of begging or worse, stealing! Same way, instead of throwing away your glass and plastic bottles and bags, collect them in a separate bin and … yes, you could recycle them BUT…. better still you could hand all your collected glass and plastic to the poor old ladies you see on the streets collecting trash. They too sell it for money. And your plastic is recycled. So not only you help with recycling, but you also help the poor. And have you heard of organ donation? Pledge your body parts to be donated upon your death. You can donate your kidneys, lungs, possibly even your heart and definitely your eyes (even if you are blind you CAN donate your eyes. Just a word of caution. Some organs have a time limit after death within which they must be recovered. It helps if you pledge your organs yourself before you die. So find out where you can register for organ donation. This category of my post will deal with such matters. Keep coming back to this category for info on donations, recycling, giving, protecting the environment, etc.
Cheers.
